Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly...Bridal Shoes look to the Classics
With the current styling encompassing the glamour and elegance of the 50s, the new range of bridal shoes from Benjamin Adams has embraced the classics. ‘Audrey’ and ‘Grace’, in beautiful Duchesse Silk with Swarovski crystal brooch and fine pleating detail, have walked straight off the silver screen. The names say it all.
A return to the classic court shoes is also a part of this year’s trend and ‘Cathy’ and ‘Magnolia’ offer a simple and dignified option. The ‘Dahlia’ follows this trend and is suitable for the bride who wants a lower heel.
The first Benjamin Adams collection by Paradox London was born in 2004. Designed by Adam Benjamin, who came from a family of footwear manufacturers, the first collection was dedicated to the craft of luxury, chic bridal footwear.
Adam's design philosophy revolves around 'alluring glamour'. Embellishments and adornments take centre stage as the sophisticated styling is complemented by the use of finest silks and leathers, set off by striking crystals to add drama and interest.
Trousseau have the exclusive agency for Paradox London bridal shoes in New Zealand and owner, Cherry Sonderer, says the current range is being well received by today’s brides. “There will of course always be a place for platforms and crystals but it is lovely to see the more classical styles returning. They are also perfect for the shorter hemlines that are currently in vogue.”
The new range is supported by a selection of peep toe shoes, among the favourites of which are ‘Celine’, 'Winslet' and ‘Catherine’ all with a touch of crystal and continuing the elegant theme.
